Bond University is Australia's only privately funded,
independent university and consists of six academic units:
-
the Schools of Business - Health Sciences -
Humanities & Social Sciences -
Information Technology -
Law
as well as the Institute for Learning Communities. The University is
situated on a beautiful campus on the Gold Coast, about one hour's drive
away from Brisbane, the capital of Queensland.
We emphasize instruction in small groups by
highly-qualified staff committed to quality in teaching. Our smaller
classes enable students to receive more individualised instruction and
personal assistance with their work. The smaller student numbers provide
more access to facilities for individual students.
We admit students on the basis of a comprehensive
assessment, including tertiary entrance scores, school results,
extracurricular activities, references, and more importantly, personal
interviews. We have students who have come to study in Australia from
over 60 countries making up approximately half of the student
population.
We run three semesters each year (14 weeks each), starting in
January, May and September. It is thus possible for a six-semester
program to be completed in two years and an eight-semester program in
two years and eight months. A number of three-semester coursework
Masters programs can be completed in twelve months.
We are very proud of the fact that our graduates are not only
able to find work upon graduation but are actively sought after by a
number of prestigious national and international employers and
recruitment agencies.
Bond has approximately 2,700 students coming from all States in
Territories and about 50% coming from 60 foreign countries.
