Operating Account

All programmes taught at Institut Hôtelier «César Ritz» and University Centre «César Ritz» are subject to payment of CHF 3,000 for the opening of an Operating Account upon registration. The school policy regarding this Operating Account is as follows:

Upon arrival at Institut Hôtelier «César Ritz» (IHCR) or University Centre «César Ritz» (UCCR), the CHF 3,000 paid will be deposited in the student’s Operating Account at the college. This account is not subject to interest rates and may not be used for personal expenses (e.g. telephone bills, fines, outstanding bills, school fees).

The Operating Account of CHF 3,000 is usually sufficient for nine months (three terms of study) for text books and the school’s medical insurance. European Union and Swiss nationals may be exempted from the school’s medical insurance, provided that proof of insurance is submitted.

Students leaving for an internship in Switzerland or continuing their studies at IHCR or UCCR will be required to re-stock their Operating Account to the amount of CHF 2,000 to 3,000, depending on the number of terms of study remaining. The Operating Account balance of students continuing their Bachelor’s Degree at University Centre «César Ritz» will be transferred to UCCR.

The remaining balance of the operating account will be reimbursed to an account of the student’s choice anywhere in the world within three months after the student has left Switzerland and returned the B-Permit to IHCR or UCCR.
