The Program

This classic Business Studies degree aims to produce rounded, experienced graduates able to work in managerial roles. It covers the main functional areas of business, with the internship playing a central role. Specialization in a particular field such as marketing, Internet technology, international business, management or economics and finance leads to valuable in-depth study in an area of your interest. The program is flexible and you do not need to choose your area of specialization until your third year.

Graduates from the business major have a proven track record of pursuing successful international careers in banking, finance, marketing, advertising, public relations, sales, accounting, computing, management consultancy, retailing, small business management, insurance, local government and many others. The major can be used as a route to professional qualifications as exemptions are available from some of the examinations of accounting and other professional bodies. Graduates also go on to undertake academic work at the Masters level in both British and American Universities. The program is a good preparation for MBA study.

The undergraduate business degree consists of four components:

1. Business Core: A solid foundation in all the functional areas of business and an appreciation of the business environment.
