Prospective students who have substantial Senior Management experience may be eligible for entry to the MA via the process of Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL). In either case, course members will normally be required to currently hold a management position
Programme Details
Following an initial session to discuss the suitability of projects that might be undertaken, students attend a Research Methods course. The successful completion of the Research Methods module is a pre-condition of further progress. Students are then registered for the MA and have one year to complete.
Course Outline
The MA Programme consists of one taught module 'Research Methods' and a Dissertation module of 11,000-15,000 words. This takes a minimum of 6 months to complete.

Entry Requirements
Students who have obtained a pass in a recent Diploma in Management Studies (DMS) at Masters level, or who have a Masters in a related subject are eligible to attend the Research Methods course. Students who do not possess a DMS may be admitted under the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) system - which provides a route for students with differing educational qualifications and substantial supervisory/managerial experiences.
There are 3 entry points (1st January, 1st May and 1st September). Research Methods courses are in the April/May and October/November prior to these dates.
Prospective members are required to attend an interview and will be able to negotiate credit exemptions which will be given in line with normal College procedures. They will normally be expected to hold a degree and to have other relevant experience and/or qualifications. |
