Introduction
The
major aim of the Business Studies programmes is to provide a sound and
relevant educational foundation for a range of professional careers in
industry, commerce, the service sector and self-employment. The
programmes offered at the Canterbury Campus develop an understanding of
both the national and global dimensions of business management.
These programmes provide students with the necessary tools for the
critical evaluation of contemporary business systems enabling them to
embark on a career in their chosen business field.
The programmes offer a contemporary and future orientated analysis of
the significant changes impacting on the global business environment.
Due to the flexible nature of the framework of courses, students are
able to select pathways appropriate to their developing interests as the
programmes progress. This will provide students with a personalised
framework for the critical evaluation of contemporary business systems.
The programmes also enable students to develop transferable skills
appropriate for postgraduate study and career development within the
business and management field. Students graduating from these programmes
