Accounting Concentration

Johnson & Wales University is one hour by bus from BostonThe M.B.A. in Global Business with a concentration in Accounting provides the opportunity for advanced study in management and accounting. Successful completion of this program prepares individuals to pursue high-level careers in accounting and/or management positions both in private industry and in public accounting firms. Building on students' preexisting foundation in accounting, this advanced program enables students to develop theoretical knowledge while learning how advanced accounting principles and techniques are applied in practice. Research techniques that successful practitioners use are also covered.

This program is designed to meet the 150 hours of advanced study requirement that candidates must satisfy to take the Uniform C.P.A. Examination.

Accounting concentration students may be allowed to take certain prerequisite or foundation courses concurrently with specific graduate level courses, depending upon the prerequisites of those courses.
