Test Preparation
GMAT and TOEFL preparation are specifically designed to meet the
needs of international students.
|

Simulated GMAT
Several practice GMAT test sessions held during the semester allow
students to strengthen their test-taking skills.
|
 |
TOEFL Waiver
Advanced level students
applying to SDSU graduate business degree programs are eligible to
receive a TOEFL waiver after successfully completing the Pre-MBA
Program.

Participation in SDSU Courses
Advanced students may enroll in up to two regular SDSU classes with
American students. Official SDSU grades, credits, and transcripts
are awarded. Course credit for certain classes may be transferred to
students' graduate business programs.

Skill-Building
Students develop the
skills critical for success in graduate-level business programs and
professional environments.
|
 |
Advising Students receive advising on academic matters, careers, and
university selection. Advisors assist students with admission
applications and write letters of recommendation.
|
 |
Class Observation Students may visit university classes to observe American
academic culture and interact with university students and
professors.
|
 |
Customized Component Advanced students may customize their schedules to address
individual needs and interests. |
|
|
Test and Placement |
The Pre-MBA Program offers instruction for intermediate to
advanced levels. Students are given placement tests in
different skill areas (listening, reading, writing,
speaking, and structure) and are placed in classes according
to their needs and abilities. At the end of each term,
students have the option to test again to measure their
progress. |

Curriculum |

GMAT
Preparation Courses, specifically designed for international students, include all
sections of the GMAT: Reading Comprehension, Critical Reasoning,
Sentence Correction, and Quantitative Skills.

TOEFL Preparation
Several levels of intensive Next Generation TOEFL iBT classes and
electives are available to help students develop specific skills and
test-taking strategies.
|
 |
Pre-MBA Writing
This course helps students prepare for the Analytical Writing section of
the GMAT and develop advanced writing skills for graduate business
school.
|
 |
Communications Skills
These courses prepare students for graduate-level business presentations
and help them develop advanced written and oral communication
techniques.
|
 |
Academic Skills Development
These courses equip students with additional skills needed in American
universities. Courses include Advanced Reading, Grammar, and
Business Research Methods.

Business Content Classes and
Seminars
These short courses cover a variety of business topic areas including
business writing, management, and marketing. |
