The new manager is increasingly faced with using
the computer for planning, forecasting, storing data, processing transactions,
and making decisions. The information technology specialization is designed for
persons with a sound understanding of business who also need to develop basic
competency in the use of computers for their work. It is not, however, a program
for computer programming specialists. With the electives offered in the
information technology track, the student learns how to design and efficiently
use the immense capabilities of the computer for data processing purposes and to
become the critical link between basic operations that use data and those that
tabulate and store data. |
